Helping Our Community

Life is not an individual achievement; it takes community. We strive to help our community as much as we can and these are the events we have participated in and organized.

Movember/No Shave November (2012-end of time): These two great organizations raise money by supporting facial hair. We raise awareness of three of the highest killers of men: heart disease, cancer (specifically testicular, prostate, and colorectal), and suicide. (Kidney disease, stroke, diabetes, and lung disease all kill too.)

Larimer County Foodbank (2019): Peeled cabbages to make them presentable!

ManCraftival to benefit the Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County (2018): A small festival we planned to highlight mental health and celebrate all things masculine and masculine of center. Suicide is the #2 cause of death for those under 65 in Larimer County (our home county). Men died by suicide three times more often than women. We were delighted to be hosted by FCAF CrossFit and invited Uncle Andy’s Jerky, Wild and Free Fermented Tea, and Jimmy C’s Custom Leather (and his bullwhip!) to be vendors. Dr. Seth was putting on science demos like oobleck, Mentos/Diet Coke, and vinegar/baking soda rockets! Many thanks to those who showed up and supported our event!

Haircuts for the Hirsute (aka Hairy): In 2016 and 2017, we were able to partner with the Fort Collins Rescue Mission and The Sister Mary Alice Murphy Center for Hope and barbers and stylists from Loveland and Fort Collins to give haircuts to those in need. HUGE thanks to all those who donated goods, time, effort, and love to our community! Specifically Bare Bones Haircuts, Toni’s Barbershop, Scissors and Sinners, Roots Beauty Studio, and The Barber Lounge and Spa for donating their skills, love, and time to our event.

Hearts and Horses Fundraiser Car Show: In 2015, we participated in a charity car show to raise money and awareness for this therapeutic riding center for those with disabilities.
